Somehow he is able to create vivid images of most unimaginable places in my mind. A great adventure of a boy growing in in a graveyard and being raised by ghosts after his family is murdered in the dark of the night.

Goodreads page My rating: 3 out of 5 My review: I enjoyed this second Discworld novel marginally more than the first part (Colour of Magic). The humour is there in all its gory, no idiom will stay unscathed and no legend uprooted. Darkness is not the opposite of light, it’s just absence of light. Opposite of light is called (appropriately): Light Fantastic.

Yes, still a world very much like our own, but much more anarchistic and full of weird characters. Again typical for Gibson: Three story lines coming together and doing so with a bang! That said, I loved the british version that included all chapters (unlike the US version and movie apparently). I found it exceptionally entertaining to watch main character pillage, beat, rape and even kill. Make no mistake, the acts themselves were terrible and vicious, but the apparent innocence of main character is undeniable. …
